Toyo Industrial Co., Ltd. Alliance

In April 2002, TLC International established a partnering alliance with Toyo Industrial Co, Ltd., of Osaka, Japan, to distribute Toyo's world-renowned cutting wheels to worldwide high-tech markets. This joint venture adds a new marketing/sales dimension for Toyo and presents TLC a key advantage as distributor of the finest cutting tools in the world for specialty thin, flat glass applications.

Competitive pricing allowances awarded to TLC will propel Toyo's presence into industrial theaters not yet penetrated, especially in the North American and European continents. The primary goals are global saturation and standardization on Toyo in the entire thin, flat glass/substrate high-tech cutting market. TLC promises to be the viable vehicle through which even greater success for Toyo can be achieved.

Toyo Industrial Co., Ltd.'s business profile spans more than 40 years. Under the astute management and direction of founder/president, Toshimitsu Arai, it has steadily grown from a small startup to its current multi-million dollar status. Mr. Arai is the driving force behind Toyo's innovative technology and original cutting wheel product design. Through the years, Mr. Arai has progressively captured solutions for scoring glass with minimal edge chips and microcracks required in flat glass cutting applications. In the past five years, his attention has been directed to design and development of new cutting wheels to meet the seemingly impossible close dimensional tolerance demands of 21st century high-tech ands microelectronic glass products.
