Ernest Linden, President, First Presentation at SID 2003 Exhibitors' Forum May 20 PDF Print E-mail

Phoenix, Arizona USA, May 6, 2003 - Leading off the Exhibitors' Forum at SID 2003 on May 20, Ernest Linden, president of TLC International, will give a technical presentation on the latest breakthroughs in thin, flat glass cutting technology for singulation of X-Y, curvilinear and multilinear (hexagons, parallelograms, trapezoids, etc.) shapes in the production of flat panel displays. Noted globally as one of the leading glass cutting technologists, Mr. Linden will present information regarding TLC's achievements in alignment capabilities for 100% repeatable close-tolerance cutting of irregularly shaped (curvilinear/multilinear) LCD products required for many avionic, aerospace, military, automotive, industrial, medical, and clock/watch display application. There will be a short question and answer session for process development assistance at the end of his presentation.

Innovative technology and design have quickly propelled TLC's position as the world's leader in computerized, mechanical scribing machines. The TLC Phoenix-600® is the only high-accuracy glass cutting equipment in the world with "shapes alignment" capabilities for maximum substrate real estate utilization, quick and simple target alignment, onstage measurement/inspection, and highly repeatable processing to accuracies of +/- .002"/0.0508 mm (rectilinear) to +/- 003"/0.0762 mm (curvilinear) dicing on 0.009"-0.125"/0.229 mm - 3.000 mm thick glass. Utilizing a Toyo TAP or Deep Cut carbide wheel, TLC's resulting scribes make manual laminate breakout fast and simple.

TLC welcomes manufacturers to bring substrates to Booth 1039 at SID 2003 for a personal demonstration of the TLC Phoenix-600®, as well as technical tips on process development techniques for producing clean afterbreak edges and high yields in all rectilinear/curvilinear thin glass products. TLC's  global resence in the specialty thin flat glass cutting industry continues its steady climb in European, Asian and North American markets.

For additional information, please contact Maribeth V. Linden, VP Global Sales/Marketing to confirm a personalized demonstration appointment at SID 2003 Baltimore. We encourage you to attend Mr. Linden's presentation in Room 304 of the Baltimore Convention Center at 11:00 a.m. on May 20.
