TLC President, Ernest Linden, to Lead Session 2 SID 2005 Exhibitors' Forum
Mechanical Singulation of Microsheet Glass
Phoenix, Arizona USA, May 19, 2005 - Ever-increasing difficult challenges to produce ultra-thin, flat specialty glass parts for FPD, touch screen and photonics industries continue to drive research and development at TLC International to perfect mechanical scribe parameter formulas and processing methods to successfully singulate microsheet parts. Ernest Linden, president of TLC International, will lead Session 2 of the Society for Information Display 2005 Exhibitors' Forum on Tuesday, May 24, at 2:00P in Exhibit Hall D in Boston, Massachusetts USA.
Well known as one of the world's leading close-tolerance thin glass cutting technologists, Mr. Linden will present information on the latest microsheet cutting technology achievements with a TLC mechanical glass cutter. The latest accomplishment - cutting circular/curvilinear parts out of 0.003"/.075 mm thick microsheet - has been accomplished by TLC using a prototype cutting head on the Gen-3 TLC Phoenix-600® using a custom TLC four-facet diamond stylus.
