International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment, Applications and Products. Over 1,004 exhibitors from 41 countries will take part in glasstec 2004 at the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany. To date, 61% of the exhibitors at the show are from countries other than Germany. The largest foreign exhibitor contingents are from Italy (192), the U.S. (57), Belgium (42) and France (40), with a significant increase in exhibit space from Turkey, Switzerland and Asia. Companies from Australia and New Zealand will participate for the first time. The number of U.S exhibitors includes 17 companies displaying their products within the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Dusseldorf North America and co-sponsored by the National Glass Association (NGA). Companies from thin special glass sectors will exhibit new processes for separating, marking, cutting and melting glass. 54,000 trade visitors from around the world are expected to attend and view the latest products and technologies for the glass industry
